Coppins Green Primary School Website! Coppins Green is a rapidly improving and
innovative primary school.
With over
660 pupils it is one of the
largest primary schools in the country. It
has already been recognised in the national
educational press for the developmental work
undertaken at the school in the teaching of
numeracy.
A unique characteristic of the school is its
dynamic relationship with external
consultants who offer a broad range of
support and evaluation to the work of the
school. These consultants cross a broad
range of expertise including the nationally
recognised expert on children's learning as
well as inspectors and leadership
consultants.
Areas in which the school is at the
forefront of educational development are the
teaching of reading, spelling, writing,
numeracy, self-evaluation and school
improvement as well as imaginative and
sophisticated approaches to the support and
care of children.

Stuart Livingstone, Anna Conley and Sue Mann.
Stuart Livingstone has been a head teacher
since 1989. Coppins Green is his third
school where he has been head teacher since
April 2004.
Stuart is very experienced in school
leadership, management and improvement. At
his previous school, Boreham near Chelmsford
Essex, his leadership has been described by
OFSTED inspectors as "exceptionally clear."
In respect of this a local MP wrote that:
"You have done an
amazing job over the last three years while
you have been headmaster and I, as I'm sure
all the children have attended to school
throughout these years, their parents and
your staff, are immensely proud of all that
you have achieved and done for our
community." Stuart is a special needs specialist and has
written and been published regarding the
care and support of children in a mainstream
schools setting. He is also a consultant
working with other school leaders as well as
conducting training in this field.
He has created an exciting and potentially
far reaching partnership between the heads
of school team and a number of highly
experienced and knowledgeable private
educational consultants.
